A lot of us can’t afford Netflix and Crunchyroll and it shows. This is why the majority flee to illegal streaming sites and torrenting services. I generally prefer to download series instead of streaming them since I like revisiting them again at a later date. However, being the huge sucker for quality that I am, I don’t settle for the 360p or 480p mp4 downloads that you can directly rip off from any ‘kiss’ streaming site. That would usually entail having to scour the entirety of the Internet for an HD torrent with a decent amount of seeds. Unfortunately, it is a common occurrence for me to find the exact torrent I want (720p to 1080p quality, fansubbed, .mkv format) and find out there is little to no seeds or peers. For example, you have 5gb torrent that only has three seeds/peers. It would take you almost a day to download it all! This is not even factoring the speed of your internet connection. In fact, before I discovered Seedr, I would have to give up on downloading that series and settle for HD streaming instead since my internet connection is particularly horrible. Now, I can download gigabytes of my favorite series in a flash because I don’t have to hang on to unreliable seeds and peers. I can download that 5gb in a jiffy because Seedr allows me to!
Another feature of Seedr that I like is the fact that it mimics most torrent clients in allowing you to download only certain parts of the torrent. This means that you don’t have to wait for hours to finish downloading a season of Game of Thrones. You can download the first episode and have the second episode downloading as you watch.
